Back in the whirlwind of World War II, Eliseo Guerrero had a simple idea to bring people together and spread joy one plate at a time. From a modest home on Cheatham Street he opened Alex's. It would become one of San Marcos' first and most beloved Mexican Food Restaurants.

Decades later Eliseo's son, Paul, established his own cherished dining spot. For years, Paul's became a household name along the bustling stretch of I-35, a testament to the Guerrero family's passion for gathering folks through the love of food.

Now, led by Elisio's spirited granddaughter, Jenny Marie, and her boys, Leroy's mixes Tex-Mex and BBQ with a wink and a smile.
